I was born to a mother who didn't want to be one. Foster care, then back home into abuse I didn't have words for as a kid. I raised myself before I was old enough to.
I became a mother young and never looked back. I gave up college for my daughter, and I'd do it again.
I lost the love of my life to lupus, a year after our daughter Kailyn was born. That grief nearly took me under.
I rushed into a marriage that wasn't right, then survived a relationship that hurt me mentally, physically, and emotionally. I know exactly what it costs to leave.
I've hustled since I was a teenager, selling CDs and DVDs before I sold anything legal. A seafood restaurant. Corporate America. Layoffs. I never stopped building.
With nothing but a household iron, I built a rhinestone business into six figures. That became Bling with a Twist. That became teaching other women how to do it too.
I healed myself before I ever coached anyone else through it. I wrote Mirror, Mirror while I was still living it. Mirror Mirror: Mama Drama is next.
Now I sit on panels evaluating business plans, speak to teens about starting over, and coach women through the same fire I walked through myself.
